Former President Nelson Mandela, who is now 92 years old, cast his vote yesterday at his home in Houghton, Johannesburg for the upcoming local government elections. Mandela was joined by an IEC official and his grand daughter Ndileka as he made his private selection on the voting ballot.
More than 20 million South Africans are registered to vote tomorrow 18 May at their respective voting stations. The day has been declared a public holiday so all citizens can vote at any time between 7am to 7pm.
